No fake reviews, ever.
A public commitment from ExpatHaus — dated April 24, 2026 so you can hold us to it.
Every other property portal in Vietnam is packed with suspiciously perfect five-star reviews. We will not do that. Ever.
This page states what we will and won't accept, so that when reviews become a feature on ExpatHaus you know the rules ahead of time.
What we will never do
- Accept money, gifts, or any other incentive in exchange for posting, boosting, or removing a review.
- Publish reviews written by agents, landlords, or anyone connected to the listing owner.
- Seed or stage reviews ourselves — not at launch, not ever.
- Sell review placement or "verified" badges.
How reviews will work
Reviews are not live yet. When they launch, every review will be:
- Written by a signed-in seeker who actually contacted the agent through the platform — no anonymous reviews, no drive-bys.
- Tied to that account publicly, so patterns of abuse are visible.
- Rate-limited and checked for templated or copy-pasted text.
- Editable or removable by the original author — but never by the agent being reviewed.
Consequences
If we find an agent buying, soliciting, or writing fake reviews — or if a reviewer is proven to be connected to the listing — we remove the listing and the account permanently. No warnings. No second chances.
How to report a suspected fake
Use the "Report listing" button on any listing page and pick "Suspected scam" with a short note. We read every report.
This commitment can only be strengthened, never weakened. If we ever change it, the change will be dated and visible on this page — and any future relaxation would be a breach of trust we don't intend to commit.
